Rev. Darrell M. Dunlap

Pastor Darrell began leading Christ Community Church in the fall of 2000 after previous ministry roles at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois and Green Bay Community Church in Green Bay Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Rutgers - the State University of New Jersey. He completed Master of Divinity degree at the Haggard School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University and is currently working on his doctorate at the same school. His passion is to help people love God and others more.

He is married to Heather. They have two sons, Steven (age 16) and Austin (age 9) and live in Mira Mesa with their two Shihtzu puppies, Sadie and Dubya (W).

Pastor Darrell serves as our senior pastor, the chairperson of our Spiritual Oversight Team and a member of our Financial Oversight Team. His spiritual gifts are teaching, leadership and discernment.

Michael Pentov
Worship Ministries
Area Leader

Michael has been a part of the CCC family since 2003 when his family of nine emigrated to the United States from Sofia, Bulgaria. In March 2008, Mike joined our staff as the church's worship ministries area leader. In this capacity, Mike leads the instrumentalists and vocalists of the church's worship ministry. Mike also serves as a member of the area leader team. Additionally, Mike provides leadership for the church's young adult ministry.

Mike is single and a student at San Diego's Miramar College. He works full-time as a certified nursing assistant as he completes his education in physical therapy. In addition to playing the guitar, drums and piano, Mike is an accomplished oboe player often guest playing in area orchestras. He lives in North Park.

Patricia Hinck
Children's Ministries

Pat serves as our area leader for children's ministries, serving kids from birth to age 11. Pat's focus in this minisry is to help kids grow to love God and others more. She leads the team of leaders and teachers that serve the children each week in the KidZONE. She also provides leadership for our Annual Operation Christmas Child and our Bably Bottle Drive, which collects change for turning Point Pregnancy Center, serving teen moms and their babies. She also serves as a member of the area leader team.

Pat is married to Larry, has two adult sons and lives in Scripps Ranch. She works as a bookkeeper full-time in downtown San Diego. Prior to serving with children's ministries, Pat served as a trustee, auditor and financial manager.

Pat's spiritual gifts are administration, helps and teaching.

Mark Williams
Reaching Ministries

Mark has been part of the CCC family since the fall of 2006 and a member of the leadership team since November 2007. In September 2009, Mark moved into his current role as the area leader for reaching ministries. Mark's focus is to lead the evangelism ministries and Sunday service ministries of the church. He provides senior leadership for the sound, media, hospitality,  first impressions, outreach, evangelism training and reaching special events ministries.His goal is to help people come to Christ Community Church and become a part of our congregation, growing in their relationship with the Lord. Prior to this role, Mark served as our director of service ministries.  He also serves as a member of the area leader team.

Mark is married to Karen and lives in Mira Mesa. They have six children, five still living at home with them. Mark and Karen manage an apartment complex in Mira Mesa on a full-time basis. Mark is a student at San Diego Christian College working on a degree in biblical studies.

Mark's spiritual gifts are administration, teaching and helps.

Carolle Banks
Assimilation Ministries

Carolle serves as our assimilation ministries area leader, providing leadership for our efforts to help visitors feel at home at Christ Community Church, to get connected in participating membership and to discover their spiritual gifts then get connected in serving the Lord.

Carolle has been a member of the church since 1996 and served as our church secretary and office manager from 1999 until 2004, and as the leader for our semi-annual women's brunch from 2003 until 2006. She also led the Trustee team from 2006-2009 as church financial manager.

Carolle is married to Sam, who went home to be with the Lord, and has four grown children: Lynn, Valerie, Mary and Sam, Jr. She also has five grandchildren, Todd, Tyler, Jackie, Sam III, and Lauren, and two great-grandchildren.

Carolle's spiritual gifts are leadership and administration.

Heather Dunlap
Women's Ministry

Heather serves as our women's ministry leader, providing leadership for all women's ministries at CCC including small groups, brunches, retreats, fellowship activities, book club, etc. Prior to serving in this role, Heather had served as our leader for connecting ministries, hospitality and special events.

Heather works full-time as a manager for a local Starbucks store where she loves interacting with people in our community. Heather is a graduate of Winona State University and served on pastoral staff at Willow Creek Community Church prior to relocating to San Diego. She is married to Darrell. They have two sons, Steven (age 16) and Austin (age 9) and live in Mira Mesa with their two Shihtzu puppies, Sadie and Dubya (W).

Heather's spiritual gifts are hospitality, shepherding and wisdom.

Eric & Kim Coolbaugh
Operations Ministries

Eric and Kim serve as area leaders for our operations ministries, providing administrative and behind the scenes support for the systems and functions of the church. They provide senior leadership for our administrative support, finance and information technology ministries. They also serve as administrators for the LoveActs ministry.

Eric and Kim joined the CCC family in 2008. They are married and live in Scripps Ranch. They have three adult daughters, Sarah, Ashleigh and Lauren.

Eric's spiritual gifts are administration, helps and wisdom; Kim's spiritual gifts are administration, hospitality and helps.

Stephanie Woodend
Compassion Ministries

Stephanie serves as our area leader for compassion ministries, providing senior leadership for our nursing home ministry, operation serve the homeless and simple service, serious cause, which include our annual food drive, Angel tree, etc. her focus is to create ministry opportunities where people who are part of our church family can reach out wiith God's love in very tangible ways to our community. She serves as a member of the area leader team.

Stephanie is married to Fred, who serves on our spiritual oversight team. They live in Mira Mesa with their two grandsons.

Stephanie's spiritual gifts are leadership, teaching and administration.

Carol Bleakley
KidZONE Ages 4-7

Carol leads our ministry for children ages 4-7 and a long time member of CCC and has served in a variety of capacities, including children's ministry teacher, cookbook coordinator, and communion coordinator. 

Carol is married and has two grown married sons and two grandchilren. She and her husband Andy live in Scripps Ranch. Carol is a retired elementary school teacher.

Carol's spiritual gifts are encouragement, creative communication, helps and craftsmanship.

Joy Finlay
First Impressions

Joy Finlay has served as the director of first impressions since 2003. Joy is a long time member of CCC and has served in a variety of capacities, including usher, council member, tape ministry leader and communion coordinator. 

Joy is married and has four grown children. She and her husband, Chuck, live in Scripps Ranch. Joy serves as our first impressions ministry leader. In this capacity, Joy provides leadership for the ushers, greeters and communion team. 

Bob Parker
Men's Ministry Leader

Bob leads the men's ministry and men of Christ leadership team, providing ministries for the men of Christ Community Church. Bob has a passion for men to become more like Christ, using their gifts and talents to lead their families and our community. Bob is married to Beverly and has two adult children, Ariel and Tim, and lives in Clairemont.

Bob's spiritual gifts are service and teaching.

James & Shannon Perez

James and Shannon lead our couples ministry, providing a place for other couples to connect and grow in their relationships with each other, with God and with other couples. James also serves on the worship team and Shannon serves in the youth ministry.

James and Shannon are married and live in North Park. James is a doctoral student at University of California at San Diego in communications. Shannon is a licensed social worker.

James' spiritual gifts are helps and exhortation; Shannon's spiritual gifts are exhortation, helps and mercy.

Don Randall
Sound
Ministry Leader

Don leads our sound ministry and focuses on creating the best possible sound quality during our weekend services. He also serves as back-up service coordinator, coordinating the various ministries that support Sunday services. He is a member of our financial oversight team.

Don is married to Shannon and lives in Scripps Ranch. They have two adult sons. Don works in the architect field.
